The Dark Stranger Round The Corner

By Ivan Ling

Alone, I am
staring out at the corner,
where a stranger lurks,
looking for victim, I'm sure he is.
Here and there I look,
people are ignoring the danger,
of the dark stranger.

His name is Money.
Without him, nobody's a honey.
Cause of him, many are lonely.
Cause of him, many are deadly!

Riches and enjoyment comes from him,
death and blasphemy follows behind.
For every effect, there must be a cause.
The dark stranger round the corner, he is the cause.

For millenia, humans have tried,
to free themselves from his clutches.
But easily the stranger fried,
any schemes to remove them from his clutches.

Alone again as I watched,
the dark stranger move away from the corner,
only to reach another corner,
where preys are plentiful,
for him to claim.
